Lifting Mate, £20,000, London and the South East, (ST85)

Background

My client who has an enviable position in the lift industry is currently looking for a lifting mate to cover London and the South East area to join their team. They specialise in testing lifting beams & manufacturing lift systems of all sectors. They’ve grown consistently year-on-year and continue to expand their operation with further growth expected in 2012 to include additional fabrication of shaft screening, pit ladders and motor room guarding to lifts. They pay particular attention to developing their staff and invest in their lifting mates which they believe is essential to maintaining sustainable and future growth.

Overview of Job

Good all round knowledge of all lifting equipment
Build effective relationships with internal and external customer’s
Good communicator both orally and in writing, providing clear and relevant information to others
Ensure compliance with the company policies and procedures.
Plan the workload efficiently, in conjunction with Service Supervisor
Be competent in installing lifting equipment
Regular contact with service supervisor, keeping them informed of any developments
Ensure that true and accurate reports of activities and work carried out are submitted on time
Ensure that company vehicle is maintained and kept in good repair
Ensure all work is carried out safely in line with company H&S policy and procedures

Keyskills

Achieved EOR/202 (Basic Lift Safety)
Over 25 years
Have previously worked as a lifting mate
In depth technical understanding of Lift Control Systems.
Able to operate a range of diagnostic tools & equipment.
Good time management skills
Punctual and reliable
A valid driving license is required
