Lift Service & repair Engineer, £30,000, Within M25, (ST80)

Background

My client who has a track record in consistently winning new work in the lift industry is currently looking for a lift service and repair engineer to cover work within the M25 area to join their team. They specialise in designing & installing lift systems of all sectors. They’ve grown consistently year-on-year and continue to expand their
operation with further growth expected in 2012 to include additional installations of lifts. They pay particular attention to developing their staff and invest in their lift service and repair engineers which they believe is essential to maintaining sustainable and future growth.

Overview of Job

Provide technical support to the supervisor
Attending problem sites or shut downs
Good all round knowledge of all lift equipment
Ensure compliance with the company policies and procedures.
Complete all service/call out visits on a monthly basis
Plan the workload efficiently, in conjunction with Service Supervisor
Regular contact with service supervisor, keeping them informed of any developments
Ensure that true and accurate reports of activities and work carried out are submitted on time
Ensure that company vehicle is maintained and kept in good repair
Ensure all work is carried out safely in line with company H&S policy and procedures

Keyskills

Achieved an NVQ3 in lift service, repair, installation
5 years+ experience required
Currently working as a lift service and repair engineer
In depth technical understanding of Lift Control Systems.
Have a good understanding of all major competitor equipment and able to identify all faults.
Able to operate a range of diagnostic tools & equipment.
You must have previous experience in the Lift / Escalator industry in order to apply for this role
Good time management skills
Punctual and reliable
A valid driving license is required
