Training Centre Direct Ltd (TCD) specialises in NVQ Lift Engineering Training and Certification with a proven track record and client satisfaction.
It was founded by Rob Hughes, a former qualified Lift Engineer who completed an Advanced Modern Apprenticeship in Lift Engineering straight from school after working for companies such as Bennie Lifts, Express Lifts and Otis plc, to name a few.
With 3 years previous experience working as an NVQ Assessor through the Lift and Escalator Industry Association (LEIA), Rob commented, "TCD gained approved assessment centre' status with EMTA Awards Ltd (EAL) in early 2006 and shortly afterwards became a satellite centre with LEIA", he continued "We have links with many local colleges and are able to manage apprenticeships and advanced apprenticeships for younger trainee lift engineers and funding can usually be applied for."

The purpose of this business is very simple. It is for TCD to help 100 young people undertake training, find employment and for us to manage the framework requirements in order for them to complete their Advanced Apprenticeship in Lift Engineering - all at no cost to our client!

Rob has worked with over 100 companies and individuals in the completion of their NVQ in Lift Engineering.
Personally, Rob is a keen student of Go-Kan-Ryu (GKR) Karate and Pak Mei (White Eyebrow) Kung Fu and is also a bit of a fitness fanatic. A keen Badminton player in Mens Division 2, regular visits to the gym and often cycles the 4 mile round trip into work. He somehow has to 'win' and has no time to waste, after all life is too short!
